Is to reuse or find alternative uses for obsolete computer and electronic equipment, what cannot be reused is to be separated and recycled responsibly.

To educate people and companies about recycling while  helping to stop or significantly reduce the dumping of computers and associated equipment in our land fill areas.

 Environmental Policy

 PC Graveyard recognise that we ALL have a role to play in ensuring that we ALL manage our environmental by being aware of the impact we can have by recycling. We also recognise that we have a role to play in communicating good environmental practice outside our company and immediate circle.

 PC Graveyard promotes and maintains an Environmental Policy to ensure that the impact of our operations overall reduces landfill and educates others to do the same.

 We are in Geelong which is about 45 minutes from Melbourne.

 What do you do with all the equipment you collect?

 Where possible we reuse and salvage items for spare parts to repair and refurbish faulty computer equipment, we do sell refurbished parts, monitors, printers and a variety of assorted bits.

 What about the rest of the computer parts?

 We do recycle, nothing goes to the tip or is used as landfill. We dismantle computers and equipment down to base components; metal, plastics, circuit boards, cables, screws and components and supply these to other companies then process the material further. We work with other specialist recyclers, i.e. Scrap metal merchants, plastics recyclers and other recycling centres. We process and stock pile these materials which are taken away / provided to specialists who then process this material for reuse.

 The cost of collecting, dismantling, storing and recycling this computer equipment is high, some of it is pure junk and isn't worth the phone calls, we do need to make a profit to continue this environmentally friendly service.  We are passionate about the reuse and recycling of virtually everything and seeing so much being dumped into land fill it is time to do something about it and we believe we are making a positive difference.

 We receive no funding or financial assistance for our environmental efforts, we survive by doing repairs and selling parts. I truly thank the companies and individuals who have / do support us and understand what we are trying to achieve here.

 2.            Rescue our environment by reducing the need for landfill.

 3.            Promote recycling and seek donations of unwanted IT equipment.

 4.           Free recycling of computer equipment for our local community.

 5.            Evaluate, categorise and test.

 6.            Decide if items are reusable, if yes then reuse.

 7.            If no then separate into base metals / items for true recycling.

 8.            Develop alternative uses and markets for this equipment locally and overseas.

 9.            Give a percentage back to the community.
